First of all I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who entered the giveaways this past week! Every share & post you did helped spread the word of Nomi Photography & for that I am truly grateful. I personally LOVE giveaways myself & it was fun to be the one actually doing the giving. Each time a winner was drawn, I too was holding my breath to see who it was! I hope you all had fun & enjoyed it as much as I did!

I also want to thank EVERYONE once again for the past 6 months. I can’t emphasize HOW MUCH I have learned & grown in the past 6 months. Each session is a learning experience for me. I love each family & couple & senior that I’ve been able to connect with these past 6 months. I know I say it a lot, but I’ll say it again, it TRULY is an HONOR for me when you choose me, Nomi Photography, to come spend time with you. These past 6 months couldn’t have been amazing without each of you.

Thank you to the talented Miss Ana Pyper who captured what I had imagined but couldn’t explain with her handlettered artwork. She is an amazing young lady. Thank you friend!

I also couldn’t have done these past 6 months without my husband, Eric. I love you dear!!!

And Mary Wise, who is my cousin by marriage & the amazing mind behind this website. I don’t thank you enough friend for all you’ve done for me. Once again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

And my last thank you, goes to my Lord & Savior. Father, thank You for all the wonderful experiences & moments You’ve set in my path the past 6 months. Thank You for connecting me with amazing people. And for using photography, a gift from You, to remind seniors, families & couples that they were made to smile.

Miracles still happen every day. And sometimes they happen in two’s as in double, as in twins 🙂 Twin girls that is 😉

My husband & I’s friends, Matt & Jordan have been waiting for the Lord to bless them with children. And when they announced that they were expecting two precious ones, it was a VERY happy day inded! – insert “Oh Happy Day” music here 😉 We’ve been able to watch Matt & Jordan go from an awesome couple to incredible parents with two beautiful girls.

Fall Mini Session Recap

I already have posted a few images on the Nomi Photography facebook page, but I wanted to add a few more of my favorites here on the blog! I totally enjoy mini sessions. They’re short & are always FULL of energy & lots of laughs & smiles! I always enjoy meeting new clients that become friends & spend time with people I’ve worked with before.

Also, I will be announcing 2015’s list of Mini Sessions in probably January or February. I’ve got a couple new Mini Session ideas to add to the list for 2015 that focus on relationships. I’m excited to share!

The Gonzalez Family

Stephanie & I met this past May at her Mom & Me Mini Session. At the time, she was pregnant with with Karsyn Grace. Plus, since it was just a Mom & Me Session, Kyle wasn’t with. So this time I got to meet the ENTIRE Gonzalez Family! There’s 4 Gonzalez children & it reminds me of me & my 3 siblings 🙂 I know they are going to have a lot of love & laughter through the years!

The Hofer Family

Lindsay found out about Nomi Photography through another client of mine. When her family arrived for their session I loved that she had brought their red wagon (which their boys love!) & made their session “their own”. The Hofer’s within the past few years moved here from Minnesota so I enjoyed talking about the Minneapolis area & comparing notes 🙂

I met the Carrillo Family just a few weeks ago at church. I was SUPER excited about connecting with them because let’s face it, the girls in this family are BEAUTIFUL, each one of them. I know that you’ll totally agree!

LaBerge | Newborn Session

Meet Harrison LaBerge. Born October 10, 2014 at 7 lbs, 1 oz. Harrison was just 9 days old when we had his newborn session in the comfort of his own home. He’s a sweetie 🙂 And I’m not just saying this, but it was super hard to pick just a few images to highlight, I have SO many favorites. Plus, it’s extra hard when his family is very special to my husband & I.

Kadivar | Family Session

I’ve known Bethany & Allen, goodness, how long has it been guys? 6ish years? We met at our church’s college group way back before so many life changes we’ve each gone through, babies, college graduations, job changes…the list goes on!

I was really excited that Bethany said her parents & sister were coming down from the suburbs of Chicago to join us for the session. Her parents crack me up 😉 We really had a fun time! I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to see from the images!

Gabriel | High School Senior Graduate

About a year after my family moved to Bloomington, IL, I started volunteering as a youth leader in the youth group at First Assembly in Normal. For almost 4 years I spent one evening of my week with the awesome teenagers that went to that youth group. Gabriel was in Junior High when I started & I watched her grow up through Junior & now into Senior High School as a senior graduate! When Gabriel’s mom emailed me a couple months ago regarding a possible session for Gabriel, I was SO excited & hoped our schedules would work out & they did! Gabriel is very involved with her parents 15 year old Tae Kwon Do business– “where families kick together” & has not only won many awards in Tae Kwon Do but she teaches it as well.

Gabriel has many other qualities other then Tae Kwon Do. She’s SUPER sweet. She thinks before she speaks. I’ve watched her observe situations & take her time in responding, a very awesome & rare quality. Gabriel has a love for doing hair & makeup & is currently already taken classes in those areas. She plans to pursue cosmetology as a career after high school.

Each one of my senior sessions this year have been amazing. And Gabriel’s is no exception! See for yourself!

Megan | High School Senior Graduate

I was super excited about Megan’s Senior Session! We’d met up with her mom a week before to discuss all the details of her session including where her session would take place. Megan wanted pictures in a downtown setting & then somewhere with a lot tree’s & natural surroundings. During her consultation, Megan’s mom got the idea to have the second half of Megan’s session at her grandparents property on the edge of Towanda. The evening of her session the weather was a little chilly & I was super curious & excited as we drew nearer to Megan’s grandparent’s home. It was even MORE beautiful there then I ever could have imagined!

What I desire for each & everyone one of my senior high graduate sessions is to make the session THEM. Megan’s was definitely that! Her grandparents property was simple a perfect setting & Megan’s personality & beauty is enough to make any session go perfectly! I literally squealed with excitement during the session because of all the fun we had!

Megan, you are truly beautiful. Even though we were only together a few hours, I can tell that you have a caring heart. And you don’t want to be like everyone else. You want to stand out. Please Megan, DO! The world needs you! Use your voice to say things that need to be said & use your heart to know when to say them. Keep loving those around you & don’t be afraid to be who the Lord has called you to be.

Megan was killin it just within a couple minutes of her session. PS I told Megan this, but I was VERY excited to photograph her for many reasons, but one was because she’s a redhead. My mom is a redhead! I loved how her red hair stands out with the red background & brick!
