Summer 2019 Mini’s Recap!

Summer Mini’s were SO fun this year! I’m a bit in love with our location & it’s the second time I’ve used it! The special couples & families I got to photograph are just favorites of mine. AND the weather had been SO crazy! We’d had SO MUCH rain the weeks leading up to the evening of the sessions & even! It literally started sprinkling rain a half hour before the first mini session & STOPPED raining like 8 minutes before the first. After that the weather was perfect & the show went on! Sometimes you never know what’s going to happen with the weather in IL!

It was very hard to choose but here are some favorites from Summer Mini’s this year! If you’re interested in getting a summer mini spot next year you’ll want to sign up to be on my enewsletter HERE so that you’re notified as soon as they open up!

5 Resources for You!

YOU ARE NOT JUST A CLIENT!

This morning in my head I was thinking about how to explain my heart on WHY I did what I did. And I realized the short answer is- because I care about you all. You’re not just clients to me. You’re my friends. My people. Special individuals that I get to watch as your family grows. I get to watch while you & your significant other go through new seasons & I get to celebrate with your senior as they take a new step into the world. And I get to cry & cheer as your brand new child is born into a room full of love.

I believe so much in what we get to do together- save THIS season of life, hold THESE moments in time- for the legacy that you will carry & pass on.

I “filmed” 5 Facebook Live videos that I am gifting to you to use as we draw closer to our photo session together. I called it my Christmas in July series & they’re all on my facebook HERE (or just click each topic below & you’ll go directly to each video).

Here are the 5 Topics I Hit:

How to Make Photos Happen on a Budget
Getting Your Loved One on Board for Photos
Tips for How to SCHEDULE Family & Group Family Photos
5 Tips for Saving Money when Buying Clothes for Photo Sessions
What to Wear for Photo Sessions? 5 Tips!

I’ve had all of these topics clinking around in my brain for years now. I can only get so many words into a blog post & frankly the amount of information I shared would have been too much for a blog post. Plus it was easier to just share my heart verbally then take the time to think through the right words & write it all out!

All of these videos & the information I shared was from my heart & not from Pinterest posts somewhere. I thought through the things that have & have not worked in the last 5 years of business & am REALLY EXCITED to share these resources with you!!!

I care about you & I care about the money, the time & effort that YOU put into photo sessions. And I care about our time together & want it to be as special as possible! That’s why I took the time to film these & I’m REALLY excited about them. So please, check these out! Here’s THE LINK again so you can just click & play whatever one you’re most interested inAnd feel free to just put it on & “listen” to me as you make dinner, fold laundry or whatever! And the cool thing is, you can comment on ANY of the videos at anytime ask any specific questions you may have & I’ll get notified & can answer back right there!

Rumley | Family Session

As I’ve become a mother of two & my photography business has grown, I’ve needed to keep my blog posts a bit shorter then I used to since each one takes a lot of time actually. BUT this family is one family for sure that I could go on & on & on about! I’ve LOVED doing their family sessions through the years (just search Rumley on my blog & you’ll see them all!). They are in the process of moving & I pretty much think they need to invite me to visit every year so we can keep our tradition up 😉 From our last time together, here are a few of my favorites & I hope it really isn’t the last time we ever do pictures 🙂 Love you all Rumley Fam!

Struss | Family Session

I’ve already shared HERE on why this family means a lot to our family & although we are excited for what they are a part of in Indonesia, we miss them a lot! Here are some photos we got literally days before the left Illinois to go back to Indonesia! I loved how where we did their session was kind of jungle-y & how the photos of them walking together as a family made me think of how they’re literally walking into a new season of life.

Here’s the Struss Family!

Decker | Family Session

This is one of my favorite family sessions ever & I love that it’s of my sweet friend Megan & her precious family! Megan & I have been friends for several years- we met online in a photographers facebook group! Since then we’ve done each others photos for the years & I just love her heart & look up to her in SO many ways!

One of the things I LOVE to do for my family’s is to make their session as unique & as “THEM” as possible. I want them to look at their photos from our time together & say “Yes, this is us.” That’s why I strive hard & work to choose carefully the locations I do for photos & get to know each client even before we meet! Megan wanted photos at their family farm & I loved (she did too!) what we got!

Grace | College Graduate Session

Oh Grace! It doesn’t seem possible that it was time for Grace to have pictures commemorating the end of her season at ISU! I feel like we JUST did her high school senior photos (View those HERE). But she did graduate from ISU a year early so that made me feel a bit better about time passing so fast 😉

We always have so much fun together & I love how Grace always wants to be creative & do things a little bit different- like pictures in a greenhouse!!! But that’s just Grace 🙂 Creative & never letting herself be boxed in. Love you Grace!

Davis | Family Session

I just LOVE IT when I get to photograph families with “older” kids 😉 Especially ones that are so fun to be with & ready for my corny jokes! Plus, you might recognize one of these beautiful young ladies since I photographed her senior pictures a few falls ago. This entire family is beautiful & I loved our time together!

Kathleen | Headshots

This is a very dear friend of mine. She & her family live in Indonesia & they spent this past year spending time in the states again. We were practically neighbors as they lived less then 5 minutes from us for about a year! We did several photo session swaps as she’s one talented photographer herself! She did our newborn pictures when Ruth was born which are just treasures to me. Isn’t it cool how the Lord worked it out for her to be in the states the year our Ruth was born & we’d need newborn photos?

One evening she & I hungout & did pictures of each other together & I wanted to share a few of my favorites of her! Headshot Sessions are perfect for a creative who is launching or even rebranding their work. A church that needs to staff team pictures. A mom that is wanting to have images for her own side business of selling crafts or essential oils! You name it! If you have any questions about if this session is best for what you need, email me at naomi@naomielizabethphotography.com!

Now here are some of my favorites of Kathleen 🙂

Amelia Turns One!

This sweet girl turned one & I was so honored to take her one year pictures as I’ve done her parents proposal pictures & her mom is a very, very, very, very close friend of mine.

Amelia is a January baby & I know that sometimes parents think that good pictures can’t happen indoors (let’s be honest it is a bit tooooo cold to go outside for pictures in January!) BUT I assured them we would get some awesome pictures at their house & we did! For doing indoor pictures, windows & a good solid, clear wall is what you need. 90% of these pictures were taken in a small spot in the master bedroom. I love all these & how Amelia’s personality just shines through!

Back-to-School Mini Sessions for 2019!

Well here we are again! For the FIFTH YEAR it’s time for Back-to-School pictures for local homeschooling families! (Please note this is a service I offer ONLY to those who are homeschooling at least one child in their family.) This year is very special for me because we are just one year away from our eldest starting Kindergarten & I’m beyond excited to officially “join” 😉 the local homeschool community as a homeschooling family ourselves!

So what are Back-to-School Mini Sessions? Well here’s two links where I share the past two year Back-to-School mini session recaps (2018 & 2017) & you can see what types of images we’ll get & the fun we have 🙂 And then below are the details of where to signup & date & pricing info.

I wanted to ask for your help. Each year I have gotten a wonderful response from local families & thus have been able to continue to offer these mini sessions for so many years now. Will you help me continue to offer this special service? If you could share this blog post with your homeschooling friends thru email & or facebook that would help me out so much! This helps ensure that each mini session spot is taken & that I am able to continue offering this year after year. Now that I’m a mom of two & I also nanny two days a week, I have to be wise with my time & what things I offer thru my photography business. As long as I can keep booking these mini sessions every year, I will continue to offer them. So please share away after you get your own spot of course 😉 Thank you friends! I can’t do this without you! 😀

I am offering two types of packages for the Back-to-School Mini Sessions:

Back2School Minis will be held on August 16 (rain day will be Aug 17) & August 24 (rain day is Aug 25). Choose your spot HERE!

*Please Note* that if you’re signing your family up, please take TWO ten minute slots. If you’re signing up a student please take ONE ten minute slot per student. If you have any questions just email me at naomi@naomielizabethphotography.com. To reserve your session on August 16 (Rain Day will be Aug 17) & August 24 (Rain Day is Aug 25) CLICK HERE. If for some reason one of these dates doesn’t fit your family calendar, I will be doing my Fall Mini Sessions (those dates are HERE) & you can keep your eye out for when I announce those signups 🙂

NEW FOR 2019 Non-refundable deposits of $25.00 are required to officially hold the session. Once you signup for a spot, you’ll receive an email soon with an invoice to pay the deposit fee. That will be subtracted from your entire fee & the remainder fee will be due the day of your session.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENT SESSION:
– First Student – 5-7 Images | $35.00
– I will spend time with each student & take photos of them that truly capture their smile & personality!
– If you have more then one child-great! After your first child, it’s just $25.00 per additional child.
– Session is 10 minutes.

FAMILY SESSION:
– Family’s up to 6 members ($10.00 per additional family member after 6 members) 12-15 Images | $90.00
– Session will take 20 minutes. We’ll have a blast having your family interact together & capture your family as a whole along with individual pictures of each child in the family!

Every year of homeschooling is a milestone! And capturing your children & family at this time, is a joy of mine.

All images will be delivered within 3 weeks of the session via email with a link to an online gallery where they can be downloaded to your computer & then printed wherever you choose. Print Release is also included. Full payment is due at session. An online contract & more details about preparing for your session will be emailed ahead of time. No outfit changes are allowed. These sessions are in my opinion not suitable for seniors in high school. Feel free to ask me about my Senior Experience Package!

If you have any other questions about how a mini session with Naomi Elizabeth Photography is, please feel free to read THIS POST I wrote to answer questions.
